September is being a complicated month for our guild. Our entire team is dedicated to the development of the game Rada Quest and the imminent release of the beta. It was our wish that the release of the game would happen during this month, but the need for more testing is holding us back a bit and we will have to wait until October.
Due to these delays we have decided to hire a new dev who will join our team from October.
The unstoppable growth of WAX Blockchain is also forcing the guilds that are providing services to the community to strive more and more every day to meet expectations. During the month of August, our Atomic API and Full History API services suffered some fails due to strong demand and increased data traffic. That is why we have been expanding and strengthening services.
For Atomic API we have implemented a cluster of several nodes that offer redundancy and availability thanks to a load balancer. The cluster is made up of 2 ship nodes and 2 indexing and API nodes. However, we are verifying that this solution may be ineffective in the medium / long term so we are studying an extension through a cluster for the storage of indexed data.
At the moment and until we can increase the performance of the Atomic API service we have restricted access to a maximum of 10 requests per second per client.
Regarding the Full History API service, the difficulties are being greater than expected. At the end of August we started the process of configuring a cluster composed of 2 ship nodes, 3 nodes for ElasticSearch and 1 node for the API and indexer. During the reindexing process we have suffered a technical problem that has forced us to restart the process with the delays that this entails. To date, we are still unable to offer the Full History API service normally.
Support to dev community
We continue to help other development teams thanks to technical support from Telegram or Discord channels and publications with development techniques and tips.
We have an operational Full History API node in testnet so that all these new projects can be tested in their development phase.
