Masters of the heavy art

in #weapons6 years ago

I'm not a leading authority on heavy weapons, but have a very real respect for the brilliant technical minds behind the designs of these weapons and their immense power. Many people frown at this kind of recognition and in the world we live in now no one seems to understand and or want to acknowledge that violent attacks on innosense and civilization is on the increase and that those with hostile intent won't come peacefully just because you ask nicely.

Fact is that good men with guns are born from their being bad with guns. Makes me sick that there are those who ask good people to give up their civilized freedom to barbarism and these dictators who claim they fight dictatorship wants you to do so with a smile on your face and without putting up a fight.

Now say that resistance was necessary you wouldn't have to put your live in the hands of one of these anymore

see the musket is a single front load black powder slow fire weapons that lobbed a lead ball along at about 500 meters per second. These days we have weapons that make your enemies shit themselves. First on my list of favourites would be this engineering marvel designed in, wait for it, 1960 and is still in service today. This beauty is capable of firing six thousand 7.62 x51mm rounds in one minute and can reach out to over a kilometer

This beauty will sure get the message across that there are no negotiations to had.

Another of my favorite ways of dealing with those of hostile intent would be an old girl designed in 1910 and is also still in service today. The 12.7mm Browning machine gun .50 Caliber. This old girl is a destructive force like no other also reaching out to well over a kilometer and can speak to the unwelcome on the other side of most obstacles without going around, but through. Excellent for stopping vehicles as not much of them remain after being pounded on with of these.

Then for the more personal approach there are the Barrett cousins. M82A1, M107 and the Barrett 416. I won't say much about these cousins apart from the fact with their 12.7mm extensions they have a reach of up to 2000 meters at 4000 ft/s. No where you could really hide.

Another long range tool I really appreciate is the Cheytac M200 Intervention System in 408. Hell of a reach and you won't hear it coming. Amazing weapon that is well thought out and beautifully designed.

and then I have a great love for the amount of lead delivery from the AA12 full auto shotgun which is capable of 300 rounds per minute and makes the clearing of a building a piece of pie. Load up with fragmentation rounds, solids, incendiaries and such. Just spectacular.

My own personal friend, the Glock 23 .40. Compact, accurate and the .40 round delivers a punch second to none.

For those with an appreciation for these toys I hope you enjoyed this little set up. Let's appreciate the talent that has gone into making some soldiers lives a little easier and the civilized world safer.

Have a good day or night

Improvise Adapt & Overcome

Strangely enough, some people do not appreciate the engineering that goes into designing and building firearms and the ammunition. Both are modern marvels of design, engineering, chemistry, and applied physics.

A man can never own enough finely crafted toys! Although the squad weapons speak with great authority, they also cost a small fortune and would be cumbersome for individual self defense. For that, my personal favorites for reaching out for long distance is the Remington 700, in .308; for intermediate range is the Smith & Wesson M&P 15, in 5.56; for sweeping up, the Remington 870 12 G; and my personal assistant, the S&W M&P .40.

My vote is for a safe, civilized world.
