RE: Do you hate advertising? Don't just block them, fight back!

Thank you for posting @l0k1. Appreciate the information.

Yes...anything to diminish massive data gathering. Ghostery.com is a good browser for eliminating ads as well.

Does this represent your attitude toward advertising at Steemit?

All the best. Cheers.

I am not against advertising but espionage. Market research should not come from digital bugs.

In this platform it should be easy to make the distribution of money in this. Advertisers pay the customer for the impression. It works like voting systems but different formula. You must consent also.

Advertising would be a boon for Steem. And there will be false clicks (spam) to eliminate. Decay of vote power. And no weighting. Well, I don't know exactly the best design but it can resolve many problems with internet marketing.

Thank you for your reply @l0k1.

Agreed...thank you for the distinction.

There is a distinction to be made from a categorical perspective...it is easy to lump it all together....advertising has become an emotive word as it has been used for nefarious means...perhaps internet marketing as you have used it would be best... provided it comes with said caveats. It is a topic worthy of discussion.
