in #web32 years ago (edited)

The World Wide Web (web) is a system allowing to visit/consult pages on the Internet. The Web was created by Tim Berners-Lee in 1989. For 30 years, the web has known 2 important stages: Web 1.0 and Web 2.0.

Web 1.0 :

The Web 1.0 was the first technological advance. At the beginning, the web only allowed to consult pages on the Internet. The pages were frozen, we could only consult them. There was not even a search engine to find information. It gave way to Web 2.0 in 2004.

Web 2.0:

Since 2004, users can interact on the internet thanks to web 2.0. They have the possibility to store, share, make purchases... Nevertheless, the web that was supposed to be a decentralized, free and censorship resistant network has become controlled by a few big companies. These actors, you all know them, they are Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon and Microsoft otherwise known as GAFAM.

Web 3.0:

Web 3.0 aims to solve all the problems of web 2.0. Indeed, the web 3.0 intervenes as a solution to fight against a censored and centralized internet. A radical change will take place over the years. The web will no longer be financed by personal data and users will be able to own and exchange digital goods.

We will analyze in the next articles this revolution concerning the publication of content with Hive and DTube and the exchange of digital values with Telos.
