Let's go Florida!
Florida has gained enough signatures to vote on the legalization in 2024.
Florida is one of the most populus states in the United States, and would become the 24th state to legalize cannabis for recreational usage in the United States.
The more states who adopt cannabis for recreational usage, the better. State's rights have been pushing the issue and the fact that Florida is making this push despite it's conservative governor and leadership is great news.
It is good to see more states use their 14th Amendment rights to push for legalization and decriminalization of cannabis. Asnwe get closer to the halfway mark, we get more leverage. The United States is a representative democracy, and the more senators and representatives who support cannabis, the better. This may push the needle for federal legalization and adoption. I sincerely hope this will involve the expungement of previous cannabis crimes as well.
