I'm still fat, but self-isolating is helping

If you have been following me before the creation of #hive, you know that I started two initatives in Dec 2019. One was #noloafingmoney and the other was #noloafingloseit.

I had a plan

On Dec 4 I published the plan and followed that the next week with the detailed plan

By the time the new year rolled around, life, steem and everything started to go to shit. I kept working at it, but I didn't have the time or energy to continue with weekly updates.

There is no normal

Today I realized that normal is not returning, and I'm still fat.

I got on the scale and weighed in at 128.5kg at 38.3%bf. I wear it "well", but I'm still too big to be healthy.

There is a lot of evidence that being overweight increases the risk of hospitalization if I come into contact with #SARS-COV-2 and contract #COVID-19. I don't want to be an added burden on the healthcare system if I don't have to. This just adds to the need to get fit again.

The new plan

My plan this time around is very close to the detailed plan linked above:

  1. Eat less. I'm focusing on sugar here. The only sugar I plan to eat is what is the honey in my homemade bread.
  2. Move more. Staying at home makes this hard. I don't have a large property or house, but I am starting to add little things throughout the day. My goal is to reach the activity goal on my oura ring.
  3. Supplementation. For this I'm focusing on getting all the necessary nutrients and Omega3.
  4. Creating habits. This is around moving more mostly.
  5. The inner work. This is the biggest one still. I got a long way by the time January came around, but with the stress of the world on my shoulders I've slipped some. By re-focusing I hope to forgive myself more and remove the identity of being a fat kid.

That's the plan. I don't know what my end goal is, or the timeline, that will come.

I'm hoping to post more about my goal and progress here. I need an accountability circle.
