Want to Be a Whale? 🐳

Have you ever been on a whale watch?
IMG_4780.JPG Found these whales at an antique mall yesterday.

These enormous creatures swim up beside the boat and turn their bodies so they can get a good look at you with one very intelligent eye. They don't build anything physical, but they communicate and raise their young.

One thing most people don't know is that whales evolved from a land animal and whales still have vestiges of hips and thigh bones. Take that evolution deniers!

Whales drive under boats just inches from hitting the boat bottoms. But they know their size and are graceful and cautious.

Interestingly the whales on Steemit are like the whales in the ocean and whales in a casino (someone who is a high rolling gambler.) They saw a good opportunity (observers) on Steemit and took a big gamble with their time. Whales didn't build something physical but communicated. Seems to be paying off handsomely for them don't you think?

What other qualities do you see in 🐳 Whales?

Sort:

Was the piece you are holding in photo #3 carved from whalebone, or was it ceramc?
I only ever saw a skeleton in a museum, enjoyed reading "Moby Dick" as a kid and I think whales deserve to live on a planet without people...

I think it was resin. Very lightweight. Totally not an antique.

What I like about the whale is when it swims high out of the water and makes a big splash.
