Really?

If the platform you came from was so bad, then at least start counting activity from the moment you started your copy cat version of the original.

I joined Steemit, a platform I am not active on either, not Hive.

For those who really mean what they say (for example in a comment on this post) when they talk about lack of engagement, those who say a comment is more important than a vote, try Whaleshares.

No one will deny we had a rough start, plenty of people were there, when there was as much room to scam and spam as on Steemit, of course they left when we made it not worth the trouble to spam and scam.

If all the people who just post and hope to get rewarded without engaging stay at steemit and hive and other copies, and the ones who value engagement join Whaleshares, we can have a great time.

Some details:
- tips (rewards) are instant
- posts get tipped, but many earn more from tips received on comments
- you will get comments on your post, promised
- no downvoting
- don't like what you see? mute
- don't want a moron to comment on your post? post to "friends only". A friends only post can be tipped by everyone (with (encrypted) memo if you want) but only people on your friends list can comment
- passionate about a certain topic? Join a pod, or create a pod. As with "friends only" posts, only pod members can posts a comment but everyone can tip
- and last but not least, you get a daily reward. The more stake you hold the higher your reward. This means even people who don't want to post or engage, can earn by staking.

Because we already divide the reward pool, based on the stake members hold, there is no need for posting crap to self-reward, or start a vote circle. That is a habit people don't break easily. So trained to behave in a certain way on other platforms to grab as much of what they believe to be theirs, they need some time to adjust to the relaxed environment Whaleshares is.

Give it a try! There is room for everyone, but engagement is what is being rewarded most.

For those who were present at the start of Whaleshares, please don't compare the situation before HF4 with the current one. Those are different worlds.

So suprise to see this post with no comment for some hours the post been posted, this to confirm truly engagement should be involve ,this would encourage the author to write more believing others members could read his or her content by commenting. Anyway whaleshares has been a good place to be , very great features is embodiment on that platform (whaleshares) , you will surely get people involve in Ur post by commenting if your content is highly genuine (not plagiarise) also you claim daily reward base on your whalestake (power) ,so no form of circle jerk , spammer. Everything is evergreen 💞 .

Yep, exactly. I do understand people rather have the platform they love already to change, than move on to a new platform. On the other hand, how long are you going to wait? Is hive really different from steemit? Is any of the other copies really different?

What we are trying to focus on, is engagement. Instead of clicking away in the feed, upvoting content without ever reading it, you have to open a post to tip it.

The value of engagement is tough to market and yet, all platforms are screaming for it.

So suprise to see this post with no comment for some hours the post been posted

7 months, and still no new comments, with the exception of the reply of the author of the blog post.

And what more frightening is the fact that most of the Hive posts are similar to this.

Hive is not really a social network.
