I am pretty sure a lot of Steemians have heard one or two things about Whaleshares and Beyondbit.
If you haven't heard of any of these tokens, then i guess you haven't lived my friend.
Haha !! Just kidding!! You have lived.
For anyone who has no idea what beyondbit and whaleshares are, this is your chance to find out and it is also an opportunity for you to learn how to use them.
What are whaleshares
Whaleshares are community tokens that started in the beyond bitcoin community discussions used for summoning whale upvotes.
What are beyondbit
Beyondbit are also community tokens which are more powerful compared to whaleshares used to summon a whale to upvote a specific post.
They were also created as a result of the beyond bitcoin community discussions.
Beyondbit and whaleshares are useful tools to help planktons, minnows and anybody with low Steempower. They were both founded by @officialfuzzy .
Apart from being used on Steemit posts ,they can also be used to summon whales to upvote Golos and EOS Talk posts

I recently managed to use a few of my beyondbit and whaleshares i had to summon whale upvotes.
I would like to show you how to use your whaleshares or beyondbits step by step.
This is mainly meant for those new to beyondbit and whaleshares.
In this post, i am going to give steps using one of the tokens (whaleshares) since the procedure is similar for both of them
How to use whaleshares
Step 1
Go to the post that you want to upvote and copy the post URL .
Go to the official whaleshares website as shown below.
Step 2
Navigate and paste your post URL where it is written "ENTER URL" and click on "GO".
Wait for a few seconds for it to finish loading.
Doesn't take long to load.
Step 3
Scroll down on to the next step and copy the memo that is inside the text box.
You will use this memo while sending the token that you want to use(in this case whaleshares) to your whale sponsor.

Step 4
Head over to your Openledger or Bitshares account.
As for me,i use Openledger and the screen-grab below is from my openledger account.
Click on transfer and fill in the appropriate details which are mainly:
The account name of the sponsor whale you are sending the whaleshares to.
The right amount of whaleshares you want use or send.
The memo you copied from the official whaleshares website.
Choose the token from which the transaction fee should be charged.
After filling in the correct details,press send.
Make sure to always crosscheck before clicking send.
Step 5
A dialogue box will appear requesting you to confirm the transaction.
Click on "Confirm" and wait for the transaction to go through..
As soon as the transfer finishes, you will receive a notification telling you that your transaction has successfully gone through.
If you receive an error message, retry until it goes through.
You can also head over to your openledger account history section to confirm if the transfer was successful.

If you go to the particular post that you summoned a whale to vote on, you will find the post value has increased.
ABRA..CADABRA!! That is what i call magic.
You just learnt how to use whaleshares/beyondbit. Wasn't that hard right?
How to find whaleshares and beyondbit
Unlike other tokens, whaleshares and beyondbit cannot be bought from exchanges.
I know you are wondering and curious to find out how they are obtained then if they can't be bought. .
Relax!!Don't you worry!! That is exactly where we are headed.
Well if you want to have your hands on whaleshares and beyondbit, all you need to do is join the Bitshares discord and the whaleshares discord.
You also need to actively participate in the community contests and win.
That is exactly how i managed to get some whaleshares and beyondbit.
