WhatsApp soon to roll out an unsend feature which lets you retract messages that you send.
Currently WhatsApp is rolling out this update to certain users to test them out. The new feature is called as delete for everyone and can be used to recall messages both from individual and groups. This feature is available only for the first 7 minutes after message get delivered, after that you are out of luck. I think it is reasonable enough time to have a second thought. The message that get deleted will be replaced by 'This message is deleted' notice. Try to update your WhatsApp and see if this feature is enabled for you.
