Thank you @curie - I will have myself a great day

The shots are incredible, I like that sport, it is very extreme (for my taste) but you can see that it is the best to practice it, keep it up like that!

@iamsaray yes it is extreme and serene in equal measure . . . This is why it is such an awesome feeling just blasting along on your own but and even more amazing sensation blasting along with 1000 plus sailors including some of the fastest guys and girls in the world!!

Honestly never seen such sport competition live. Is surfing and wind surfing same. It is a good read I came across today.

People used to say any sport in water is less dangerous than the other, but here around thousand people surfing together is quite an interesting stuff.

Good snaps too...

Thank you @angelro surfing is lying on a board, paddling onto waves that then drive you along using gravity as the energy source. Windsurfing is more akin to sailing, the energy created by the shape of the sail from the wind passing over it is like that of an aircraft wing and once you have enough speed you can steer the board like surfing using the planing rails of your board to carve and turn. Sometimes in windsurfing when the wind is light you can gently float past the waves and then using the wind rather than paddling catch the waves and then surf the board like surfing but to do this well you have to understand apparent wind and surf with the sail as well. . .

Woohoo got to witness amazing windsurfing sport again. I can call it a sport right? This part of your life is serious fun, you also filled me with some extra energy with your video :):)

Yes @vibesforlife it is a seriously fun sport!! Best addiction you can have IMHO

Oooo, I like IMHO - In my humble opinion, did not know this one.I will use it in office today hehehe

Okay ... wow. I live across the street from English Bay and so I have seen a windsurfer ot two but the foil is something I have never seen. Windsurfing 2.0, if you ask me. I envy you your trip to France and Spain too and all that sunshine and water. Sounds and looks like it was a blast:):):)

I'm sure you will start seeing the windsurf foil in English Bay soon @prydefoltz it's not going to take over from windsurfing just become a super fun light wind alternative :)

Does it take more skill?

Not really, I've only done it for 20mins and as an experienced windsurfer I found it very easy to pick up. It's would be interesting to see how a beginner would go learning directly on a foil . . . I'm feeling an interesting Windsurfing.tv video feature coming up!!

hi @alfie-hart
another fantastic video !! I like all those people involved in the race but serene and always smiling, they seem to have really caught the good essence of the competition !!

Wooaw, such an amazing surfing you guys have at your end. In fact i only knew of just the normal sea surfing where on tries to be faster than the waves. This is my first time of watching a windsurfing video and i really enjoyed it. Get experience you guys had and maybe I might surf through the wind ..lol

Each second spent on your videos and work were worth the time. Good work and keep the surfing spirit up

Good to hear you enjoyed the video @ferrate plenty more coming, I assure you . . .

I can't wait to see them then. And you are welcome too

I really admire these guys for being so brave and for practicing day in day out in order to win. It is hard work but it worth it. They are out, enjoying the fresh air and the sun. The photos are stunning by the way. The blue water always makes me happy.

Yes @erikah these guys and girls might not be on the big bucks but they sure have a good time earning a living!!

I have never seen a foil and take it that is the one with the longer fin at the back of the board. Amazing how things develop and change. I need to look out for them the next time I am at the coast.

Who knows where the development will lead @cryptoandcoffee there is freestyle foiling and even wave riding on a foil!! There is a lot more risk when crashing that yourself or others could get seriously hurt but the sensation is amazing . . .
