Yes. They didn't really say much about how they would be different from the big DAO failure at first but I haven't read the whitepaper yet. I had given up following the discussion on Bitcointalk. This the first DAO clone to emerge when enthusiasm for the idea was at its peak. Will be interesting to see how well it does.
the WP is pretty meh in my opinion... let me know what you think once you read it
