Today we wanted to share another story from within the cryptocurrency industry from a pair of entrepreneurs you’ve undoubtedly heard of: The Winklevoss Twins, the twins, who are notorious for their history with the world’s largest social network have a message: “Money is the largest social network of all”.

At Noozzle, we took a closer look at what makes the duo tick and what has made them successful since they sold their stake of Facebook shares for 300 million after the company went public. The pair of investors have created multiple startup companies (including another social networking company, for which they have since sold their share) and invested in over 70 other tech companies, including their own exchange, Gemini. Although they enjoy diversifying into companies, their focus has remained on one priority: Cryptocurrency.

As opposed to the mentality of many successful investors who are buying Lamborghinis with their profits, the Winklevoss Twins prefer to reinvest their time and money in projects that are innovative and have a chance for success. They are notoriously frugal with their money as Cameron drives an old SUV and Tyler doesn’t even have a car. Their mentality is simple though, they will have enough time to spend money later, so they don’t need to spend effort on determining what that is yet.

What is impressive to us is the foresight they possess and why they believe digital money to be the next big thing and why. Often, people think of money as being just that, money. However, upon analysis, we see that money is much more. Money acts on the mind like a drug, is a language for people (and machines) to communicate with, and a way to decentralize and stabilize world markets.
