The little stream makes for beautiful photos @cmplxty šŸ˜Ž
Yes, you are right, with cracks like that in the ice you need to be careful.
The seasons in New England sound lovelyā€¦ you guys experience them fully. Unlike here in Spain hahaha
Have a great Monday šŸ˜

The New England seasons are certainly beautiful and we enjoy them a lot! Itā€™s a little difficult for my wife but I donā€™t mind them and actually look forward to the changes. When we move we wonā€™t get that much difference in seasons but thatā€™s okay things in life are about change!

Thatā€™s great to hear @cmplxty šŸ˜Ž to bad it is different for your wife.
Where are you moving too? Hope you donā€™t mind asking.
We are hopefully moving this year too šŸ¤žšŸ» If all goes well and the backlog in paperwork is resolved. Towards the 4 seasons weather we go šŸ˜ canā€™t waitā€¦

We are moving somewhere in the southern United States, havenā€™t had a 100% yes to somewhere just yet but somewhere seasons arenā€™t as defined as they are here now lol. It will be good for my wife so Iā€™ll learn to adapt to it, canā€™t hurt being outside year round as a family! We are hoping to eventually be able to afford something small back home to keep so we can come back and not have to rent a hotel or something.

I enjoy the different seasons so I know what you mean by looking forward to the seasons! Will it be in Spain that youā€™re moving or somewhere further? I donā€™t know much about the geography of Spain besides that itā€™s warm in most places.

Hope it will make a difference for her šŸ˜Š for me with my back, joints and skinā€¦ the warm weather did do wonders. It is a different lifestyle too.
No, you are right. To be able to be out and about all year is just amazing. Walking. The times we are still sitting on a terrace of a restaurant in autumn or even winter is vast. Just the summer is almost unbearableā€¦ it gets ā€œthe last yearsā€ just toooooo hot here, so you canā€™t really go out. Climate change for sure. The winters are worse and the summers are more extreme. No in between seasons here in Southern Spain.
We will be moving to New England šŸ˜ thatā€™s why I asked. Company relocates us. But the pandemic is still delaying things as we are planning since last October. But we are patient.
It will be my 6 country of residence and first continent change if we get over šŸ˜Ž have only lived in Spain for 6,5 years now. And only in the south. Up north in Spain it is cooler in all seasons and much different. But we are weā€™re work brings us šŸ˜‰

Thatā€™s great what state will they be moving you to? Thereā€™s lots of beauty in the area that I can recommend! Apart from the tourist traps for sure hehe. The region is remarkable in that there is a lot of beauty to be had!

I donā€™t think I agree with ā€œclimate changeā€ as something thatā€™s happening. The climate is never consistent and our small snapshot of what we know is so tiny compared to historic trends. Every time they try to scare people into things like ā€œthe ice caps will disappear by 2000ā€ never come to pass because itā€™s impossible to predict long term this stuff. They can barely predict a week out for temperature never mind a month, a year, 10 years! Lol. Could we do things differently and more efficient? Yes absolutely! But cow farts and a 25 mile per gallon vehicle arenā€™t going to drastically change much.

Itā€™s unfortunate that massive money and powerful groups are pushing that idea along but itā€™s all about money and the next thing they can try to profit from sadly. The massive open-air mining pits they have for rare metals like lithium, cobalt are far more damaging than drilling for oil but thatā€™s another discussion entirely hehe.

I think thereā€™s definitely benefits that come along with living in a warm place thatā€™s for sure. As long as we donā€™t lose air conditioning we should be able to manage lol itā€™s good on the joints!

We are concentrating on Mass but that could still change in the final agreements. We could choose out of a few states. Reading up on a lot since months to get a feel and more information, but always hard from afar. We have been around the US, but not to New England yet. Any information would be grately appreciated. šŸ˜

I do understand your point and why you think that. Looking to the bigger picture you are right, our lives is too tiny to see a proper change. They canā€™t predict the weather any time hahaha definitely not what comes next.
But since I moved to Spain, I do see changes in climate/ temperature in the northern countries and here in the South the last years. The north doesnā€™t have really winters anymore, I remember being a kid 70-80s and we always had loads of snow in The Netherlands for months, now maybe a weekā€¦ but the consistency of the snow changed too. It is wet and goes ugly mud puddle likeā€¦ maybe other continents the changes are not that visible then here?

Yes, those little changes they are promoting will do not much as so much other things are still continuing and others are so profiting of it all. It always is about the money. Hehehe it wonā€™t change.

I donā€™t like the air conditioner so I think our move will be just fine šŸ˜‰šŸ˜ and by reading what you say, your move will be just fine for your wife.

We do adjust in life to changes luckilyā€¦
