Even if this idea doesn't turn out, I always learn something new by stepping out of my comfort zone and trying a new style and weird ideas that float through my mind.
I partly know and understand what are you talking about, because I recently started to learn to draw. Paintings like this kingfisher leave me in awe, because they are very realistic. Probably you have years of painting experience. I hope that I will improve my drawing skills in the near future.
I have not tried to paint so far, but maybe I will try it in the future. Who knows. Maybe I will surprise even myself.
