The situation here on the blockchain is so strange. At first glance I am sure that it looks democratic to many people.
If we can turn that situation around, we can also limit the the percentage of Steem that can be powered up by any one group of accounts, thereby stabilizing the system. It seems to me that without such systems, Steem will remain vulnerable to bad actors who's actions indicate that they are not at all interested in the mass adoption and eventual success of the of this blockchain.
For me this is an extraordinarily fascinating experiment to be part of. I hope it all works out well in the end.
