When I was a child, we often sang a song that the greatest joy in life is to make other people happy. That is true, and I still remember the song and the lyrics, and the lesson the song tried to teach us as we sang it. What is today's quote about?
When someone does something good, applaud! You will make two people happy.
Can you imagine what happens when you applaud someone? That person for sure becomes happy. But, there is more to it. When you share joy and appreciation with someone else, then you get happy as well. There is something joyful about bringing joy to other people. As you rejoice in the work of other people, then they will be happy, and you will be happy as well.
It doesn't take a lot of energy to spread joy and good words, but still, it is often hard for us to do so. On the other hand, it is easy to spread bad words and negativity about other people. Backbiting is a popular activity amongst people of all ages. But, why don't we try to turn out backs on such negative activites, and rather be known for spreading joy and humor and great words. Believe me, people want to be around people who are positive. They love being around people who speak encouragement and positive words.
