That would be a great start but it seems it is not a priority for headquarters.

I've been hoping we'd get an update from Steemit HQ myself. So far, I only saw a very short post when the DDOS'ing first started occuring on @steemitblog. There seem to be a lot of quirks in the system right now.

I wonder, is it someone with a vendetta against up and coming social media? Some of the mega-elite with huge amounts of resources to devote to constantly attacking the site? Somebody is afraid of Steemit's competitive advantage and potential dominance of social media.

When the service is in beta is actually a great time for it to happen, but the fact of the matter is we need a huge amount of resources to have the musclepower that the industry giants have at their disposal.

I wonder if the DDOS attacks are a form of market manipulation / someone trying to get into STEEM at a low price.

Maybe witnesses act on behalf of headquarters...remember this is decentralized block chain ...maybe we all.own our space... Nice comment though
