Well, my witness was doing, for 5 months, exactly what it was supposed to be doing: being a silent pillar for the steemit network.
So, it was happily humming along and crunching those blocks when...i suddenly noticed my witness was automatically shut down. A quick check at the witnesses channel in the steemit chat app and noticed everybody hysterical about some steemit bug that required an urgent upgrade of the witness to version 0.19.5
So, witness got updated - took my another two days because i had old config settings that were no longer available and i had to replay the whole blockchain every time - and there it is, going back to do it's stuff, i hope now for a few more months before needing another brutal update :-)
As previously stated many times, my intention is to run a solid witness at peak performance and have it become a silent pillar to the steemit network. As such, i am not much into many witness updates, unless there is something critical to publish like in the current case.
