RE: Interesting People #23: Dragos Roua on Steemit’s problems, and what we should do about them

in #witness7 years ago

great interview with Dragos, it's been on my mind the future of Steem, reading the interview i realized that most social media websites are where friends interact with existing friends or family, but Steem right now is about meeting new people (who basically share an alternative perspective on the world). It is true, it is best just to ignore spammers. It's also true about building slowly, but people are a little keener to make relationships b/c of the financial incentive, that's just human nature. I agree their does seem to be a leadership void on steemit, but also that some communities are growing organically, and it is probably the future that steemit does stay somewhat niche, although it could be somewhat strong niches if cryptos fulfill their destiny. the presence of artists and creatives here does bode well. ty
