AEW fight forever is finally scheduled its release date and an announcement that came out about 31 minutes ago. The game will be released June 29, 2023 for Nintendo switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox, and PC.
Three things that I would be looking forward to seeing will be a story mode with voice overs done by the wrestlers. One That’s nonlinear and allows you to have a small sandbox, feel reminiscent of SmackDown know your role in SmackDown shut your mouth. Next, I would like to have a GM mode as roster management and competing versus the computer or other players, with who has the best business wrestling management skills to acquire attention from viewers to watch your programming, as well as not go, broke, trying to put on shows would be awesome and lastly, just for the game to actually function and work as advertised. We all have great hopes that Yuke’s will make 2K regret separating from them, and that this game is a huge success to continue having other options of wrestling games, despite which brand is producing it.
I’m excited to see what the community creates, if there is community creations available to be uploaded and downloaded. We may be going back in time a bit too when we had forums that had CAWs (crest a wrestler) recipes. Before community creations in downloading the works of others, in order to have a newer wrestler, or a alternate version of a wrestler you would go to the create a wrestler section of the game and follow a text guide which very rarely with pictures going along with the steps (hopefully you were lucky enough to get a picture of the final result before starting to create the wrestler), copying the attributes and entering them into the game. Sometimes the creations were half ass. Some of them were spot on. Today, with the creation suites of most wrestling games, the creations are almost better than the provided in game wrestlers.
Finally, I get the dust off my Nintendo switch, and will be hopping on to see if it was worth all the hype, or at least, if the creation, suite, the game, modes, or the challenge of mastering the game worth the wait.
