This beautiful homespun yarn just arrived from @frugallady and it is gorgeous!!
I will be using this yarn to make us new hats and things which we will need for next year.
I am thinking the blue with some brown accents for a hooded scarf for our little grand daughter. And brown with blue accents for TS...but we will see. Photos to come when I get a little time to knit :)
Now if you look at the top of the brown, is it just my eyes? or do you see the super happy smiley face there, with the big toothy grin? haha
I'm so happy you like it. I had a lot of fun spinning it and I think it has found a very good home. Enjoy working with it when you find the time :)
Very beautiful spinning and colors
of your yarn @frugallady!
Thank you. I didn't dye it myself, only spun it :)
I do love it :D I am hoping to find time to knit in the next month. I have my daughter looking for which pattern for her daughter's hat...
What beautiful looking yarn @frugallady!
How special @elew!
I love to crochet hats :-)
It is super special, I love working with handmade materials :) and knowing the one who made it is even better!

I have yarn thickness issues I think, a little OCD maybe. I prefer either bulky or lace yarns for crochet like this
But medium fine yarn I prefer to knit like this

Sorry kindof hard to see, those hat photos were to show someone how to box a tam.
Beautiful!! knitting is real hard for me, my
husband can knit and crochet, I prefer the
hook , crochet that is :-)
I think the two needles and mirroring makes it hard for us lefties to learn knitting...I had to do it right handed to learn in the end, I think. I hold the yarn in my right hand just like with crochet.
It's is beautiful, I just want to run my fingers through it. ☺️ I love the colors.
@frugallady Beautiful wool and colors! Especially the blue one is so gorgeous!!
@elew You will do a beautiful knitting with it :)
Thanks :) I hope so...
That yarn is beautiful!!! I make new hats for my family every year. I let the kids pick out what kind they want, it’s a lot of fun seeing what they choose. Oh my goodness I do see the face!!! 😄
Isn't it though? I would love to see the hats you make too :D The face was just too funny...
I will be posting the hats I made for the boys in my family this year in a couple of weeks! This is the fairy pixie hat I made for my daughter this year! She wanted something different this round. I had a lot of fun making this one :) You should be a able to see he full hat if you hold down on the pic!
That hat's amazing @crosheille !
Thank you so much!! 😃
Sorry for the delay, I was on the road to my daughter's place to hammer metal hair forks this weekend ;)
Wow, I LOVE the pixie hat! She is a cutie too. She has good taste in styles :)
Oh no apologies! We all have things we need to get done. I sometimes don’t get to respond for a few days ;)
Thank you so much! Yes she really surprises me on the things she likes. She truly has her own style :)
LOL How awesome and yes the smiley face is there!
Yes, I am excited (because we know I don't have enough projects to do, haha)! We do all need hats though, so at some point I need to squeeze in knitting. But this year I hope to dye most of the wool myself...This yarn will be for the kids hats.
Good plan, maybe you should make some to sell for Steem ! 💯🐒
Thanks :) We have 3 Etsy shops filled with metalwork, beading, leatherwork and so many things we handcraft. Knitting will just be for family, not to sell ;)
Great work. Family first great work :) 💯🐒
Looks promising. Good luck with your needle work! Have you tried your hand on hand spinning? it is fun and very relaxing too.

Thanks :) Spinning is on my list of things to learn, along with weaving. This year I opted for rug hooking. I have done a bit with all the grandmothers, but never really learned because I was focused on metalwork...I will be starting needle punch hopefully very soon :)
Good luck!
would have been great if it had been stitched :)
I kindof like how it just appeared there, happy yarn :D
Hello @elew ! I do see the happy grin !
I saw an old post that you made re punch needle
... I am really interested in learning how you finish the back so they yarn can't be pulled ...
:D
Once I get all my materials together and get started I will do some progress posts, and will show that part too...I got my dyes in and am just waiting for the yarn for this project, then I should be good to go.
