I totally agree, I used to have kwelta.tech on wordpress, and it was a headache, many updates, bugs, super slow because my server haven't the resources, etc... So I decided to make my own solution, I've developed an RSS reader to my hive blog feed and hosted it in a shared hosting with minimum resources.
