Like a well, deep deep down
So deep that the longest rope would not reach
Thoughts so deep that no one's mind can reach
Depth so deep that depth is redefined
A little form of fear....not anxiety, a different kind of fear
That subjects the mind to loneliness
Aloneness...separation....distance
From the things that should matter
To the things that least matter
Worse of it....the self denial
Complete denial to accept one's worst fears
And the truth that nothing can be and is perfect
Life begins to lose it’s meaning
Dreams once dreamt have slowly
Found their way to this deep dark well
Of uncertainty, doubt and fear
Effort to revive anything... lost
No passion for anything new
No desire for something different
A form of sanity seems to flow from the so sad
and boring life routine coined by one
Slow down.....pause.....breathe
Maybe it’s not so bad
Maybe a light can shine in this well
An idea....maybe a new desire
Not for the unproductive old
For something new, refreshing and exhilarating
But then maybe life is just a mirage
A false reflection of life
Maybe there’s really no light
And life is surrounded with darkness
Wouldn't you rather be your light
Your own sanity, your peace.
Create your own path
How else would the world be bright.... if you refuse to shine your light.
