Hey everyone, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my new contribution and hope you have a weekend which is full of positive experiences! Today I would like to share an experience I made in Romania and hope you can expand your knowledge.

On my travels I always like it to take the opportunity to visit the national museum of the country and I think it's exactly the right place to get to know different aspects of the culture and also in Bucharest, I have repeated this experience. Even the building which was built in the neoclassical style is very inviting and also has an interesting history behind it and, as a former palace, the museum welcomes thousands of visitors every year to present thousands of exhibits. The plans for the construction already started at the end of the 19th century and there were various influences that have flowed into the construction and there are over 50 rooms that offer enough space to present the large exhibition which contains artefacts from prehistoric to modern times. Once this was an old palace of the post which is accessible to the public since 1972 and in addition to the diverse permanent exhibition also offers a changing ones, but people not have to pay extra for the exhibitions and these are also included in the price.

I cannot name an exact number of the pieces that are exhibited here, but I am sure that there must be hundreds of thousands and this extensive collection offers numerous insights into the national culture and a few years ago, the museum was expanded even more due to a renovation. My visit lasted about three hours and the entrance fee is approximately 20 Ron which corresponds to 4$ which is more than fair and for groups there is also the possibility to book guided tours which must be organised in advance. The museum is very well structured and divided into different eras and most exhibits also had a text noted which, however, was not always in English and therefore not understandable for every visitor. There is so much to learn about the history of the country and every visitor to the city should not miss a visit to the museum and in any case plan enough time for it.

Many thanks for the visit and I hope you could learn something new about this important place! I captured these pictures with my Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm lens.

The gold pistol in the photos looks super dope. I’d love to see it up close, well getting shot with this is a bit more dignifying than. Rusted gun lol

It's definitely a real classic, very unique art of blacksmithing. Also all these ornaments are something special. This is probably a frequent thought that leads to the fact that it is not recognised as art by many, glad that you appreciate it as it.

It's a thing of beauty no doubt

Looking at the picture you shared, it has a whole lot of history attached to it

Happy to read your kind words @consistency

that golden pistol is so cool, and the crown!

I also think so! It's really extravagant @davideownzall
