Bruges is a medieval city in Belgium full old beautiful old architecture buildings and cobbled streets.
We were in the city centre for an afternoon but in that time we saw so much. We parked at the city Campervan area, South of the City. It was โฌ30 for 24 hours which included some facilities such as electric and waste water. With Fresh drinking water costing 50c.
The carpark felt very safe with ANPR camera's and barriers. We had a good night's sleep and the neighbours were lovely too. Mix of Germans, UK and Dutch we noticed.
After packing we walked into the city which took 10 minutes to feel like you were getting towards the heart of the City.
Nearly every building was unique in that Netherlands/Belgium style, which you often see dotted around more modern buildings, but equally as beautiful in many cases.

Check out the size of those meringues
The air every few minutes was filled with the smells of freshly baked Waffles which somehow I managed to resist the urge to buy one as we are on a budget after all. But ohh both did they smell so good! Wish I could describe it ๐คค

Lino had his photo taken on the Bonifactus Bridge which is one of the oldest bridges in Bruges. We overheard a tour guide say that locals get wedding photos there sometimes as its classed as the romantic location.

The tower in this image is the Bellfry which is in the Market Square area, which is the City Centre. Filled with bars, food and in the summer, I imagine music as it had a stage.
There are a few modes of transport being used in the city, including Walking and Cycling, which seems to be many people's preference. However, the nicest mode of transport to see was the horse-drawn carriages, which certainly helped with the medieval city vibes for sure. (As long as they were well looked after which these seemed to be)

Something cheeky for you in Chocolate Form๐

The interesting looking building with the gold studios is the Basilica of the Holy Blood. Which is believed to have at one point housed the bloody of Christ and is important in the Catholic Religion.

This is the best Geocache we have found so far. We were looking around for a bike lock or lockbox only to discover that it was right in front of us. A clue from another GeoCacher certainty helped! On the box was a luggage bag which contained a box with clues to the next geocache.

I would highly recommend a trip to Bruges if you've never been. It's certainly a very friendly city for Campervans and Dogs. A nice difference from staying in the UK.

STOPI've always wanted to go to Bruges. Good to know about the caravan park there which makes it easy to do so.
