This question is would the Liberal Party in Canada have been re-elected under Mark Carney had Donald Trump not been so unpopular in Canada or if he had not riled Canadians up as much as he clearly did? I ask this as there are commentators here in the UK who are of the opinion that Mr Poilievre and his party might have done better were it not for Trump's negative attitude to Canada?

I have less of an issue with Netanyahu than some have, there are worse leaders for a nation to have in wartime than him. Some anti Carney commentators in the UK are pro-Trump but some are more Trump agnostics yet more are just anti the Canadian Liberal Party because of its perceived woke excesses. As regards Putin fans what we do have are a few self claimed 'Western Traditionalists' who are mistakenly in my view,seeing Putin's Russia as a lifeboat for traditional Western Christian based lifestyles. They make a lot of noise but have little influence.
The energy supply problems and affordability problems are likely to make some parties in Europe look towards trading with Russia again and buying Russian sourced energy.
Yes we do have Russian bot problems but then there is also Iranian, Chinese and other bots promoting their causes and nations as well.
