Grammarly helps me write better…

I mentioned in my first post that for many years I have failed to write any blog posts and the primary reasons for this are…

  1. I didn’t think I had information to share that would be of use to others.
  2. I wouldn’t have said my written English was the best even though it’s my native language.

So what has changed?

  1. I now understand that 20 years experience is always going to be of value to someone starting out. It’s important to NEVER undervalue or underestimate your capabilities.
  2. Grammarly has changed my life.

Grammarly

Whenever I type an email, a letter or indeed a blog post, Grammarly has got my back when it comes to spelling, punctuation, and grammar.  For years I have written documents, email all with the fear that my English wasn’t that great.  Somehow I survived and I’ve never had anyone point out anything other than a typo.  My writing confidence was still low until I signed up to Grammarly.Grammarly checks everything for me and lets me know when things need to change.  It might be a missed comma or the incorrect use of a word.  It’s always got my back and gives me the confidence to write and send, knowing that the content is grammatically correct, is well punctuated and is spelt correctly. There are other offerings in the market, but Grammarly works best for me for the following reasons.

  1. It works and makes sense over and above the built-in dictionaries of Microsoft office.
  2. Plugins available for browsers, office, and outlook. It’s everywhere I need it to be.
  3. I learn from it
  4. It gives me the confidence to click send.
  5. It’s low-cost piece of mind.
  6. Excellent weekly report on your performance.

I love the weekly reports letting me know how hard I’ve been working and also the ranking of my ability compared to other users of Grammarly.  You will be surprised to find out how good you really are compared to others, it’s a learning experience and really adds value.

Great post. I use Grammarly every day of my life and it has helped so much in my ability to correct small mistakes.

I am using grammerly while i type this comment also. lol

Well, I will use it as well since I'm not perfect at english either.

i have the chrome extension and it doesnt seem to work on steemit, it highlights the errors for you to correct but when you publish to steemit it reverts back to the bad grammar

I've also had this problem. I've just started copying from the Grammarly website.

so compose on the Gramarly site then copy to steemit?

Looks like the only way for now. I'm not sure what could be causing this to happen.
