RE: Why is Prostitution So Taboo?

in #writing6 years ago

Prositution is not a voluntary profession. A common way is to lure people with a prospect of having a secure job but end up as sex slaves. Every year thousand of people are traffic for the purpose of sexual exploitation. It isn't natural or normal for a woman to have to give herself to lots of men. It uses all her time and is physically and emotionally exhausting. It involves sharing ones body, so involves sharing the deepest private arenas of ones soul. It takes away a woman's ability to earn money, or make a home, or be cherished by a husband or partner. It ruins her reputation. It takes her chance to practise spiritual feelings about stuff. It leaves the woman with bad memories, held deeply in her biological and emotional feelings about herself. It degrades her normal relationships. It forces her to have sexual experiences with people she doesn't like.
