Safeguarding my future

You find yourself in a bright blue city. The city is lit by many, many candles, and the road you stand on is well paved with cobblestone. There are no trees nearby, and the city seems to be surrounded by a black rough cloth. You take out your phone to snap a picture of the city. There's a flash, and the screen says "SD card is Full." You sigh and put your phone back in your pocket.

That's when you notice your foot is starting to hurt. You walk with your foot slightly dragging along the ground, and you feel a slight tingling in your heel. You finally arrive at a nicely lit house at the end of the street and go inside. You get to a large purple cabinet and pull out a small bottle of pills. The bottle says 'Foot Medicine, Take as Needed'. You take one pill out of the bottle, and swallow it. Moments later the pain in your foot starts to fade, and you notice a slight feeling of warmth in your heel. You realize the pill you just took was a very strong painkiller. It must have just worked its way through your body over the past 60 seconds.

You start walking around the house, looking for your wife. There's a cheerfully pulsating yellow door on the left, and a red one on the right. You walk up to the red door and push on it, which takes you to a black hallway. You feel around for a light switch. A glimmer of light catches your eye, and you realize you've just found it. You push the switch, and a ceiling fan comes on. Suddenly you can hear the voice of a strange man.

"Welcome to my home. I hope you found the guided tour helpful. I am the Curator. Do not be afraid, I keep all the horrible things in here. Well, all except for one... a curse, in fact. If you ever want to play with the curse, I want you to visit me again. But I don't care to grant a visitor a second time."

You hear two bells ring, and then a door in front of you opens. You walk through it and it closes, leaving you in complete darkness. Then, a group of red lights appear in the darkness. You can't really tell if they're moving or not, all you know is that they're red. Then, the red lights disappear again, and a green light appears in front of you. You walk towards the green light and it immediately disappears. Then, more red lights appear and they disappear again. After about five minutes, you give up and walk into the next room.

The next room is different, you see. It's a blue room with a weird stone thing in the center of the room, similar to the one you used to play with as a child. You walk up to the object, which turns out to be a stone ring. There are a pile of old, worn-out rocks around the stone ring. You touch the stones to verify they are real, and they emit a faint glow from their surfaces. You put the stones around the stone ring, and the ring glows.

"Well, it looks like I have another visitor to the curse," you hear the Curator say. You turn around towards the direction of the voice. The Curator is standing in the pile of stones, and there appears to be a door behind him. You walk past the Curator, and the door disappears once you cross the threshold of the rocks. You enter into a dusty brown hallway.

The hallway stretches out for only a few meters, and then ends with an old, rusted door. Right next to the door is a smaller door that is not rusty. You open the door of the smaller door, and step in. It opens up into a small room with another, smaller door in it. You open this door, and it reveals a small grey closet.

Inside the closet, there is a small brown chest with silver handles on the top and sides. You take out a key you brought with you, and try to unlock the chest. The keyhole on the chest is locked, but the key fits into it pretty well. You push, and you hear the sound of the mechanism of the lock opening. The key stops at the bottom of the keyhole, and the chest opens. You see a note, and a singular golden ring. The note is old and faded, and you can barely make out the faded script.

Hello, friend. I will be glad to take your Soul Ring when you die. Put it on your hand now and it will always be with you.

You put the ring on your left hand, and it shrinks to fit your finger. It is a beautiful, golden ring identical to the one on the note. Not even a master jeweler would be able to tell the difference.

The other door in the room opens up and you walk in. The door has a label on it that says 'Ring Room'. You walk into the room, and a wooden table starts to follow you in. The table has black lines similar to a Rubik's cube, but they're straight across instead of parallel. The table disappears once it reaches the room. There is no other exit from the Ring Room.

You can see a mirror on the back wall. You walk up to it, and you notice something weird. There is a face in the mirror, and it's looking at you. You pick it up and stare at it. It's your face. But there is something different about it. You put the mirror down and look at it. There's a thick, white line separating the two regions of your face. From the top of your eyes to the bottom of your chin is one face, then there's a thick white line where the second half of your face occurs. You realize the face is that of a girl. You don't know whether to smile, frown, or just stare.
