the returning cycle

in #writing7 years ago

Funny how people get high on something - say, steemit - until the interest starts to fade away and they return to it less and less up to the moment of oblivion.
Then, suddenly, a flashing thought comes out of your everyday boredom maybe. Or you get an email that reminds you why you ever heard of steemit in the first place. There must be a reasonable number of people to whom this is keeps happening on a recurring basis.
The thrill of the wallet is back on your veins. Because you once adhered to this ideia, some thinking of simply getting rich, others to make a living, others yet in an almost romantic era fashion really felt this was simply imbued with too much potential to avoid it.
So here we are. Another - probable - set of posts, as tradition now commands.
But somehow this time steem is higher.
If it kept a linear trajectory, it would be like a ruined landscape, with spare cents on a handful of posts. That is not the present case.
Here money means life. And just as the deserts were once forested areas, greenery gains territory again.
I do not know if it's like this for today or if I've been missing out. I only hope this is not a surge, but something consistent that lives on. That evolves.
The Rose of Jericho cheesy image/ry is simply what my plain, simple mind could think of in these final words. Judge me not too harshly.
