RE: H.R.6666 TRACE Act?

in #writing5 years ago

There is nothing in the bill that states a person must comply with the people that come to your door to conduct testing. It is mostly to provide some limited aid in under medically served communities, and in Covid19 hot spots.

You still have the right to say, Thanks for the test offer but I will pass.
It is a short bill takes about 2 minutes to read, here is one small excerpt:

e) Federal Privacy Requirements.—Nothing in this section shall be construed to supersede any Federal privacy or confidentiality requirement, including the regulations promulgated under section 264(c) of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (Public Law 104–191; 110 Stat. 2033) and section 543 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 290dd–2).

Thanks for the info! That's good to know and I kind of assumed something like that, however, what's to stop them from trying to expand in the future and how do we know this isn't an attempt to sort of just "get things started".

For example. When this whole lockdown thing started in my state the Arizona government said they were only bringing national guard in to help with stocking grocery stores, and then that ballooned into like 10 different things including helping law enforcement enforce law on civilians.

I hope it never expands past a stage of voluntary consent, though, knowing what I know about government and the people in power I have my doubts and am very suspicious and distrusting.
