I've been writing for over 20 years now and I've been fortunate to have some measure of success (as you can see from my bio below). I've written and posted a ton of articles since first joining up on Steemit back in late June. I didn't have a lot of help figuring out how to publish my stories, but I did have plenty of help during my time in grad school to formulate much of what makes up my "writing as craft" posts.
I hope these are able to help those of you looking to get an edge in your writing, your editing, or your publishing.
Adam “Bucho” Rodenberger is a surrealist writer from Kansas City. He earned dual bachelor’s degrees in English and Philosophy from the University of Kansas City-Missouri in 2009 while minoring in Political Science. He earned his MFA in Writing from the University of San Francisco in 2011 and continues to work on short stories and novels-in-progress. He released his first short story collection, “Scaring the Stars into Submission,” in 2016 and is set to release his second collection, "The Machinery of the Heart: Love Stories" in 2017, with a third collection slated to arrive at the end of 2018.

Wow! Thank you for writing these and compiling them. Will have a go at them slowly. Hopefully, my brain cooperates. I find that my meds keep me fogged up a lot that it's hard to process anything properly. Impressive writing history btw. I'm glad you're willing to share your knowledge.
well they aren't going anywhere and i'm more than happy to repost them again later regardless. and while most of my tips are based in fiction/short stories, much of the advice is TOTALLY applicable to poetry as well.
It can be hard to get noticed here, but I'm glad you linked these altogether and reposted them. It will take me some time, but I'm going to go through these.

and yeah, it felt like a good time to compile them all together as they're all related to each other. certainly not a comprehensive look at writing or editing, but several good places to jump off from for those just starting or those struggling with some of the issues mentioned.
Now is as good a time as any, given the volume of posts you have to share. I will definitely take a look through them, as I'm sure others would, if they knew about them - thus the resteem.

I hope so too, especially since one od my college classes is a creative writing class. I had to fill the soace with something. My department heads messed with my study program too much...
