PART 1
Eden was a bush boy, living deep in the forest with no knowledge of humans beyond the occasional sounds of animals he'd mimic to communicate with the creatures around him. He'd growl like a leopard to warn others away, chirp like birds to signal curiosity, or grunt like a wild pig to show contentment. Eden was attuned to the forest's rhythms, smart, and agile. He knew every path, every waterhole, and every hiding spot.
One day, hunters came into the forest in a loud, growling machine (the truck), chasing after animals with strange sticks (guns) that made loud cracks like thunder but smaller. Eden hid, terrified by the chaos. The hunters left, but they left behind a trail – tire tracks leading out of the forest toward a place unlike any Eden had seen.

Curiosity got the better of Eden. He followed the tracks to the edge of the forest and saw... the city. Buildings taller than trees. People moving like ants. Noises like a thousand animals calling at once. Lights that didn't come from fire or sun. Eden was terrified. He panicked, making sharp warning chirps like a frightened bird, and fled back to the forest's safety.
But he couldn't forget. Images lingered in his mind like afterimages of the sun: towers of metal and stone, people touching small glowing rectangles (phones), noises like nothing in the forest. Eden couldn't mimic these things; they were beyond his sounds. Yet the memory compelled him. Days passed, and he found himself sneaking back to the forest's edge, peeking at the city. He growled softly like a cautious leopard, trying to understand.
This time, he ventured a little closer. People saw him – a wild boy in hides, hair wild, communicating in animal sounds. They stared. Some laughed. Others looked afraid. Eden didn't understand. He made distress chirps and retreated again, but now he was obsessed. What was this place? Why did it draw him?

Eden began returning to the forest edge daily. He watched. He learned. People pointed at him. Some tried to talk to him in sounds he didn't understand (English). Eden responded with grunts and chirps, trying to mimic their curiosity. One day, a child in the city threw him food. Eden cautiously approached, making soft pig grunts (contentment sounds). The child laughed.
Slowly, Eden began to connect sounds he made with actions in the city. He learned to mimic a car horn (loud beep) to get attention. People gave him food. He wasn't scared anymore. Instead, he was fascinated. But the forest was home. He'd return there to sleep, to hunt, to be bush boy.

Now Eden balances two worlds. In the city, he makes animal sounds, gets curious glances, and collects odd things he finds. In the forest, he's king, communicating like the animals. And he can't decide – does he belong in the wild or among these strange humans?
Eden continued to split his time between the forest and the city, with Eve accompanying him on many of his city visits. She'd capture photos of him interacting with people, animals, or exploring new spots. Eden grew more comfortable with Eve's presence, and he'd sometimes initiate interactions with her by chirping or making soft monkey sounds.
One day, Eve suggested they visit a local wildlife sanctuary in the city. The sanctuary had animals like birds, monkeys, and even a leopard in an enclosure. When Eden entered the sanctuary, he was hit with a wave of anger. He saw the animals in cages, pacing or sitting listlessly. Eden growled like a bear and began trying to open the enclosures. He growled again, trying to get to the animals, and attempted to break the locks on the cages.

Security quickly intervened, trying to calm Eden down. They spoke firmly but gently, trying to lead him out of the sanctuary. Eden growled like a bear again, making sharp warning sounds. He struggled slightly against the security guards as they escorted him outside. Once outside, Eden was breathing hard, growling like a bear. He glared at the sanctuary buildings.
Eve followed him out, trying to talk to him. "Eden, it's okay. They're taken care of here. It's for conservation—"
Eden cut her off with a loud bear growl. He was mad because Eve hadn't helped him free the animals. He gestured toward the sanctuary, growling again. Eve tried to touch his shoulder, but Eden pulled away, still growling. Eve looked concerned. "Eden, I didn't know you felt so strongly. I thought—"
Eden wouldn't calm down. He growled like a bear and backed away from Eve, heading toward the forest. He needed to get away from this place that locked up animals. Eve watched him go, unsure how to reach him in this state.

Back in the forest, Eden was still agitated. He communicated with the animals there, growling like a bear. The leopard he'd grown up with came over, sensing Eden's mood. Eden growled again and told the leopard about the caged animals in the city. The leopard growled in response.
Suddenly, news spread in the city about plans to develop part of the forest into a new suburb. Trees would be cut, animals displaced. Eden heard people talking about it in the market when he next went to the city with Eve. He didn't understand the words but sensed unease in the air. He growled like a bear, alerting others to danger.
Eden remained upset about the animals in the sanctuary and the news of the forest development. He spent more time in the forest, communicating with the animals there through his animal sounds – chirping like birds when he was calm, growling like a bear when he was angry about the city plans.

Eve tried to reconnect with Eden, visiting him in the forest. She brought food and spoke softly, trying to understand his perspective on the forest development. Eden was wary at first but let Eve stay nearby. He growled like a bear when she mentioned the development plans again.
"I know you love the forest, Eden," Eve said carefully. "But people need places to live too. Maybe there's a way to balance both."
Eden responded with a sharp bear growl. He didn't want balance; he wanted the forest untouched. Eve nodded, understanding his anger but unsure how to help.

In the city, discussions about the forest development continued. Some people were for it, saying it would bring growth and jobs to the area. Others were against it, wanting to preserve the forest. Eden didn't understand the debates but sensed the tension.
One evening, Eden had a vivid dream about the forest being cut down, animals fleeing. He woke up growling like a bear. The leopard he'd grown up with was nearby, and it growled too, as if in agreement about protecting their home.

Eve visited Eden again the next day. "Eden, there's a meeting in the city about the forest development. People are talking about protests and petitions to stop it. Would you... want to come?"
Eden looked at Eve, then growled like a bear. He wouldn't go to a city meeting, but he wanted the forest protected. Eve nodded.
"I'll help spread the word about protecting the forest," Eve said. "Maybe we can find ways to save it together."

Eden growled softly this time, a mix of anger and maybe a hint of trust in Eve.
Eve started working on a campaign in the city to raise awareness about protecting the forest and its inhabitants. She took photos of Eden in the forest, of animals like the leopard he'd grown up with, and shared them on social media with messages about preserving the natural habitat. The posts gained attention, with some people in the city commenting in support of saving the forest.
Eden noticed the attention on social media when Eve showed him some of the comments and posts on her phone. He made curious monkey sounds, watching the screen. Eve laughed and said, "People care about your forest, Eden."

But not everyone in the city was convinced. Developers pushing for the forest development argued that the land was needed for growth and economic progress. Tensions rose as both sides – those for and against development – started voicing their opinions more strongly in public meetings and online.
One day, Eve took Eden to a city square where a small protest was happening against the forest development. People held signs saying "Save the Forest" and "Protect Wildlife." Eden watched from a distance with Eve, making soft monkey sounds as he saw people passionate about the cause. When some protesters started shouting slogans like "Save our forest!" Eden suddenly growled like a bear, as if joining in the urgency.
Eve was surprised by Eden's reaction but smiled. "You care about the forest too, Eden," she said.

The protest ended peacefully, with protesters dispersing after handing out leaflets and talking to bystanders. Eve took Eden back to the forest edge.
As development plans moved forward to a vote by the city council, the outcome was uncertain. Support for saving the forest had grown thanks to Eve's efforts, but developers still had strong arguments for using the land.
As the city council vote on the forest development plans approached, a twist emerged.
One night, while Eden was in the forest, he heard strange noises deeper in the woods – sounds like machines but quieter, like small engines humming. Eden growled like a bear, sensing something was off. He followed the sounds and found a group of poachers setting up traps for animals in a remote part of the forest. The poachers were after high-value animals like the leopard Eden had grown up with.
Eden's growl turned fierce. He made loud bear sounds, charging toward the poachers to scare them off. The poachers were startled by the wild boy's aggressive reaction and fled, leaving behind their traps. Eden destroyed the traps with sticks and stones, protecting his forest.

The next day, Eve heard about the poachers from Eden when he made agitated bear sounds and gestured about strangers in the forest. Eve was concerned. "Poachers are dangerous, Eden. We need to tell the authorities."
Eden growled like a bear again but nodded in his bird-peck way. He wanted the forest protected from all threats – development or poachers.
