With potential for a Relationship

I developed an interest in real dolls many years ago. After a short time, I became a curator of sorts for a small collection of them. I'm not about to invest the kind of money into my hobby that others serious about collecting do, but I've created a small, select collection of my own. I was very intuitive about where to go to find the kind I would want in my collection, and found a forum dedicated to the sale of them on the dark web. New ones are expensive and rare, but there are models made in the past 20 years that look and act like "real" girls, with soft skin and warm bodies, if you know where to look.

My collection, though not extensive, is significant. All of my companions have one thing in common: they are Asperger compatible. I have my reasons for seeking out real dolls with the disorder, but there are cases of men who have been prosecuted for keeping such companions. One of the most infamous cases (that would probably have made headlines if the accused had had better representation and was not so evidently handicapped) involved a deaf, mute and autistic young woman who was kept in a cage in a basement and forced to be sexually available to her captor. Her crime: the kidnapping of a mute woman to be her lover. It was a peculiar case, but the man who was doing the kidnapping and violating the girl may well have lost everything if the case had gone to trial. The girl was found six weeks later without any sign of life.

Real doll curiostiy is not, as far as its law enforcement, much an issue. I find them intriguing and like them very much. But I also feel rather strongly that they should be allowed to pursue their interests as they see fit, and not be persecuted for it. I will not be forced to donate them to some antique stores that sell art and furniture. The memory of my real companions must remain with me.

Today, I met with Michelle and met her at the door of a small apartment in the city we both live in. She dressed rather primly, with a vest and a skirt, with a blouse under her jacket, and her long blonde hair done up. She was quite a bit shorter than I am and had eyes that were both kind and sad. I knew right away that she would be a good match for me.

She invited me in and showed me my living room, a converted garage that took up one wall of her apartment. An old sofa was against the wall behind the sofa, a small TV on it and a coffee table in front. There was a bookcase that held several novels, a rotating library of sorts. A small table held a kettle, two mugs and a tray of fresh, dark green tea.

"I love that bookcase," she said, pointing at it. "I've had it since I was a child and my grandmother gave it to me. I have taken so many books off of it. I have a lovely collection of dolls. Would you like to see them?"

I was curious, but also just a bit apprehensive. I liked Michelle quite a bit, but she was almost the opposite of the kind of doll I usually have. She had been in my profile and I had accepted the date.

"I... I'd like to see them," I told her. I wasn't sure how she'd react to that.

She smiled then, her eyes brightening. "Of course you would. I've seen plenty of that kind on your profile. You seem like a very gentle man." She took my hand then and squeezed it. "I'm glad you agreed to meet me. Would you like some tea?"

"I'd like that," I said, leaning with her against the living room wall. "I already know the kind you've got. Realistic. Except for the blonde hair, nothing any of the Hollywood women on your profile have. It's charming, though."

She chuckled then. "I find that it changes a lot when shown to different people. It helps to be prepared, though. I've gotten a number of 'very realistic' compliments." She gestured at the good-sized bookshelf. "I'm glad you're okay with that. I want a man I trust with my collection, but I had to be careful."

"I can understand that," I said. "I'm a collector too. Really well-done dolls, though. The kind collectors want. You know what to look for and I know what to look for. It shouldn't be too much of an issue."

"I'm glad. Shall we get to know each other?" Michelle said, smiling. "I'd like you to tell me about the dolls you've got."

I had her sit next to me on the sofa and I tucked her under my arm, which seemed to delight her. She leaned against me and I put my arm around her. She was warm, and seemed to like having her hair gently played with. This was not going to be unpleasant at all.
