“Speaking fiction to power one story at a time.”
Veritas Per Ficta!

Once again up early to give you another chance of seeing me in my shorts, literarily speaking. Hearing yet again about Trump’s continuing assault on just about anyone and everyone who seems to annoy him, I was drawn to wondering how one might aptly capture the concept of “Trump’s compassion”, in words.

Here is my attempt:

Trump has all the compassion of a blood sucking tic.

So, I guess, that is my challenge to you. Should you choose to accept it, please respond by completing this metaphor:

Trump has all the compassion of —————.

There will be no winner declared, nor a prize. But if you are like me you will receive the satisfaction of experiencing a “Mark Twain” moment. It was Twain who said:

“The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter. ’tis the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning.”

There you go, you have your morning assignment. I know you will do well. Off with you now.
