RE: There Is Nothing Positive About Willful Ignorance (Selection From My Book)

in #writing8 years ago (edited)

Good stuff! Just resteemed. Hey: This point:

Simply put, the fear of alienation from peers can lead to accepting standards which do not meet our needs or represent our values.<<<

is the toughest one for most to overcome. I mean, to we Christians, it's pure Idolotry and a gross violation of the First Commandment, so once brought to attention, Acts 5:29 comes into play and it's a parachute landing. But when attempting to persuade soley via logic, it is very difficult to get folks over that emotional "need" a collective brings them. I bet you could author another book, solely on this subject!!! Think of what milquetoast Adam Kokesh would be like if he was worried about what other jews felt about his prescriptions!
Chew on this expression while imagining you are jewish with the possiblity of being on that debate stage in 2020. Not easy, right?

Quite often, alienation transforms into outright violence from a foaming-at-the-mouth goonSquad attached to the collective. Oh, you get freedom.... but be real: Ain't no peace in that! LOL
