In July 7, 2017 a global treaty was adopted which is on banning nuclear weapons, despite opposition from the United States, Britain, France and other nuclear powers that protest negotiations. The treaty was adopted by a vote of 122 in favour with one country -NATO member , the Netherlands voting against ;while Singapore refrained. The vote that capped three weeks of negotiations on the text providing for a total ban on developing, stockpiling or threatening to use nuclear weapons. Nuclear armed countries have dismissed the ban because they think that it will have no impact on reducing the global stockpile of around 15000 atomic weapons and they claimed it as unrealistic. The ambassador of Costa Rica, Ms. Elayne White Gomez also negotiatiated the treaty. Austria, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa and New Zealand,141 countries joined in drafting the treaty that they hope that it will increase pressure on Nuclear states to take more seriously about disarmament, as they understood the harmfulness of nuclear weapons. Disappointingly the nine countries that posses nuclear weapons- the United States, Russia, Britain, China, France, India, Pakistan, north Korea and Israel, did not take part in the negotiations or the vote. Japan - the only country to have suffered atomic attack in 1945 even boycotted the talks as did most NATO which is very unfortunate in the way of making this world peaceful. Disarmament campaigners say that the protocol will go a long way in increasing the stigma association with nuclear weapons and according to them it will also cause an affect on public opinion. It is become very important to ban nuclear weapons, because it can destroy a generation of a place horribly. We can take example of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, all humanbeings of this place is destroyed by only two nuclear bomb. Let's think if a war unfortunately happens on earth, all countries use their nuclear weapons then Earth will no more be a perfect place to live. So the time has come to think about disarmament and live peacefully. If this protocol is not obeyed then Earth is no more be a better place to live.

Sorry, but the only thing that has prevented another major war has been the threat of nuclear war.
The danger is when the powers are not balanced, as it was when Russia had no power and the USA treated them with contempt.
They don't anymore.
Yes I understand your view buddy... But if a war is happened without nuclear weapons then humanbeings will be less harmed.
