While it is true that most call center agents earn a lot, it is also hard because they mostly work on graveyard shifts, risking their health and safety. As someone who have worked in a phone center company, I'd like to share a few things that might help you should you decide to get inside this industry in the future.

You have to make sure that you have some extra patience in your system. You would need to deal with strict superiors and irate customers from the US. Dealing with a customer's concern over the phone is really a hard task to do. You need a lot of patience and presence of mind. It is also hard to keep up with the company's standards. There are certain scores that you need to get in order to stay and earn some perks and incentives. Most call center companies offer exciting prizes if you show excellent performance and become a top agent, so make sure to keep your eyes on the goal to keep yourself motivated despite the stress.

You might not like coffee but it would surely help you survive graveyard shifts. Just make sure not to drink too much, or else, you might end up inside the company clinic due to palpitation. If you're really sleepy or tired, you can try standing up while taking calls and do some stretching. Make use of your break times to get some fresh air or even a power nap. A call center agent's job is definitely unhealthy, so make sure to take some vitamins, drink lots of water and get as much sleep as you can. Of course, you'd want to balance your personal and professional life. But never compromise your sleep over anything. When you're not working, rest should be a top priority.

I hope these tips have helped or will help you in some ways. If you have any additional suggestions that you'd like to share, please don't hesitate to share it on the comment's section below.
