I never read Galaxy's Edge, but I am a huge fan of The old man and the wasteland by Nick Cole. Overall, I find Amazon's book system to be quite frustrating... especially their new Kindle Vella operation, which doesn't appear to give much money to authors at all.
Kindle Vella doesn't seem to reward authors. Especially not those new to the field. Only hobbyists who just want to be published and big-name authors who can convert a significant percentage of their existing audience should even consider that.
There's got to be a better platform than Kindle Vella.
