Re: bitcoin and other alt coins - usually the other cryptocurrencies follow bitcoin's lead but I think that connection is tenuous at best and more so after the last big bump that turned out to be artificially manufactured by investors - once bitten, twice shy. If Hive or Steemit want to improve in value, they need to improve their product - right now ask yourself, who the hell is being attracted to these sites? Take a look at the trending page - is good content being rewarded or is it a case of whales circle jerking their own investments?
