Building a writing routine for Hive

in #writinglast month (edited)

So lately I have been building a streak on Ecency Quests, and I have started to develop some routine to finish with an article by the end of the day. I am not a great writer to be honest, not because of language, although that might be one reason, but selecting a topic and taking a deep dive into it, is challenging for me. I have it easier when is about a conversations where I can find a counterpoint and spark a discussion about it.

It's also very different as how I have been using Hive lately, mostly doing quick posts on Microblogging, either in Waves or DBuzz.

But usually starting a topic and having enough to say to justify starting an article, that can be very challenging for me. Sometimes I go into social media and find something that ticks me off or inspire me and throw my ideas into an article. Some other times, AI could help me find a topic and get me off the writers block. Other days I just interact with people on a chatroom and find an ongoing discussion. But other times even with all that, I have the 'blank page syndrome'.

Being able to constantly break writer block and make it a routine can be challenging. Not because of time, or patience, but still a bit anxiety to get it done. I might try to get into taking writing more seriously, perhaps a course on creative writing or learn how to use drafts and snippets. Sometimes writing something, stepping away and come back to the article might give you enough time to re-take or rewrite an article with a new energy.

Having these train of thought or structure of thought as a framework to constantly come up with ideas might help to get into a next stage of writing, and writing longer format, maybe even a short novel or a book. I have never seen myself as an author but I can see myself getting into a routine similar to what authors do to write stories.

If you are a fellow blogger that have some ideas besides the ones I mentioned, I would like to engage on how to build this routine.
