I've been reading history of emergence of a new negro in late 1910th, which started Harlem Renaissance or black renaissance in New York. I have been interested in Europian philosophy and criticisms, but if you want to analyze African American literature, you have to step in and take a look at their history first.
I am planning to write about Nella Larsen's Passing or Zora Neale Hurston's Their Eyes were Watching God.
The main characters in that book are women, so it is east to take an black feminism, for femininity and colour are minorally. Let's do it hoho~~
