Adrenaline Rush

Your men have spent an agonisingly long time trying to break down the heavily secure door. The door is somehow resisting their forces. Each of your men is sweating profusely, even more than usual. They know that the reality of this situation is clear to them, and they know their efforts will be in vain. They have no choice but to knock out the door and wait a few hours while they awake in the morning.

If the door doesn't open in a few hours, they will be forced to fight off the horde of zombies that are approaching the door. A simple blow to the head will be the last thing they will ever experience.

You and your men have very little idea of why this door is so tough to break. The door was supposed to be manned by a small group of subordinates, but I cannot remember any superiors. You are not going to find out any of this until the door is finally broken. The door is made up of some kind of unknown futuristic alloy that once saw to be very durable, but nevertheless is nothing special. Its great strength and rugged qualities make it almost impenetrable.

You sigh nonchalantly. With the door finally broken, you are bored of the tedious waiting. It is time for you to think of an alternative way to enter the lab. You climb down from the roof and down the ladder onto the ground. Your men are encircling the front door. You have no need to enter the lab, those that stand outside its door will do the job for you.

You find the squad leader, he is inspecting a zombie corpse that is slowly decomposing. It has a snarl similar to a dog. You quietly listen in for a moment. He is saying a few words about how he once had a dog as a pet, and how he envies this zombie. He wishes he would be able to walk around outside, free and uninhibited. He wishes he could go back to his scruffy days as a down and out, and feel the cold-hard ground beneath him. But that is not how life works. He is now a decorated super-soldier, and he will stay that way until he meets his fate.

You walk away. You pass a few security cameras, and conveniently their feed from the lab is not being monitored. This can only mean one thing, the scientists are well aware that the only way to enter the lab is by destroying the door. But there is something about what this scientist is trying to achieve that makes him call for help. With everything I have heard, I cannot imagine where all the help is coming from.

You continue walking. It's a fine day, with clear skies. Here are some pictures of the area that you pass through:

It is very quiet, there are no sounds other than the ones that you make. But the quiet is disturbed by a faint siren and whistling. You quickly break out of it, and walk down this path:

You walk in an informal manner. No one is around, and everyone else seems to stay away, which is fine by you. Over here are some tanks believed to be on standby. You cannot see anyone, but you sure can see their vehicles:

You try not to let this influence you. You know that a relative of this scientist is in control of a prisoner transport. You know that they are well known as someone that is ruthless. This person is one of the most feared people in this resistance. Nobody knows stuff like this, but it is well known that it is a part of the resistance.

You walk further away, and you begin to wonder if the source of the sound will have caught your ears by now. You have learned to keep this kind of information secret, but now it sounds as if it is saying something. It sounds like it is almost saying something.

You turn around and see that it is no one. You carefully step forward and you see that it is a surveillance drone from the lab. It is now unoccupied, and it is sending its data back to base. With binoculars, you can read some of the text that is programmed onto it. It is sending the word stegosaurus. You think this is somewhat strange. Surely, they wouldn't use the word stegosaurus without reason?

You try to work out a strategy. The drone is of limited use. It is recording the surrounding area and sending the data back to the lab. This could mean it could be hacked. That is a problem, and more so than you imagined. You decide to kick it just to be sure that you can turn off its recording facility.

It suddenly turns on again. It is broadcasting the word stegosaurus and now the drone is sending a feed. You begin to see through its eyes. You begin to see through its eyes, and now a siren goes off. You are overcome by a feeling of excitement. I am scared, you say.

There is a scientist nearby. He is talking to scientist #2, in the same lab. He is trying to tell him something about the lab. Scientist #1 begins to ask him questions about the functions of each room in the lab.

You can't believe what you are seeing. You are suddenly overwhelmed by the adrenaline rush. You are overwhelmed by the sudden feeling of being haunted by knowledge that you did not have before. You are not sure how you knew it. You suddenly know some things that you did not know, and had not known. You are scared of what you are thinking.

The results from the drone begin flooding back to the lab. You can't see your own reflection. You can't see your friends. But you can see them, even if you can't see them. You are feeling sleepy, but you are feeling so happy. You are so happy you could die.
