Then again, your title is perfect. These are points that many inexperienced writers have not yet learned or incorporated in their writing, but which are essential if they wish to make their writing more readable and if they want to attract more readers / followers.
It often takes lots of time for writers to absorb points such as these and to use them to improve their writing. But for any writer who takes her / his composition seriously, these points are "essential." And excellent.
