For a long time, there has been a movement in Bangladesh to increase the age of entry into service. According to the latest notification, the age of entry into service is currently 30 years. For the children/grandchildren of freedom fighters, it is 32 years. On the other hand, the retirement age is gradually increasing to 59 years for the general public and 60 years for the children/grandchildren of freedom fighters. The interest of young people in government services in Bangladesh has increased since 2009. After the increase in the pay scale and the BCS cadre, after learning through various motivational speakers that there will be a lot of respect, influence and prestige, the young people jumped at the chance. Along with BCS, the interest of young people in other government jobs has increased. There has never been a fair recruitment process in government services in Bangladesh. Before 2009, a lot of party people were included in various government service examinations and recruitment was done. The candidates faced the same problem during the Sheikh Hasina regime.
