The young woodcutter

in #writing7 years ago

– hellooooo!, Is there someone?! Aah! I think i'm lost in the woods – Said the young woodcutter as he walked in search of the path that would guide him to his village.

His footsteps creak, the wind blows and the trees move, a few minutes remain for the sun to set and the path still can’t be perceived. With the fall of the sun, in total darkness a light is lit in the middle of the trees. Worried by the cold of the night the young woodcutter advances and tries to find the source of that small light, when arriving at that it is a mysterious and small cottage. Knock, knock. The young woodcutter knocks on the door waiting for an answer that no one can give, when he opens the door he realizes that the fireplace is lit and that the small cottage is made up of a room and a living room, before doing anything, the young man, The woodcutter, knelt and held his hands together and aloud asked permission to use the small cottage for only one night, so that the next morning return his search of the path to his house. Who has the young woodcutter asked for permission? What will be going through your mind in that moment of loneliness?

The next day the young woodcutter continues his search, but not before returning to his knees holding hands with each other and saying thanks, leaving the small cottage and closing the door the wind suddenly began to blow with great force and the young woodcutter through the wind he listened a small whisper saying “It’s ok”.

Two days have passed since a long night, and the young woodcutter passed through the same wooded area with other woodcutters from his village to the place where the trees cut down.

The young woodcutter, recognizing the place, meets a small meadow free of trees, in the center of it where large rocks stacked on the top of each other being lit by the sun's rays.

Hey boy! Hurry up! you will not want to lose yourself like the other time, will you? Said one of the elders while laughing - the young woodcutter, with a slight smile, whispers - I would not mind -
