Awesome! Back in 2009 before we had our oldest, we thought of this too. Not earthship project. Living off grid, building a hobbit house like. The idea died as life happens.
Now we live in the north since 2012 and the idea resurfaced. We have been looking for acreage ever since but it takes time to even get the $$$ to purchase a land outside the city 😊
