This is excellent. Glad to see this sort of content on Steemit :)

Practices I use include bringing myself to the present moment by saying "Now" or by breathing. Reading books or watching conscious videos. Yoga when I wake up seems to help a lot however I can be lazy with that! And yes diet is very important, getting as many veggies in as possible.

I also have a large list of things to avoid which I know lessen my level of consciousness.

Thanks for the acknowledgement! I agree - breathwork is SO helpful in bringing ourselves to the present moment. I actually use all the methods you listed as well. Seems like we are on a similar path. Happy to be here on Steemit with you!
