I don’t see any problems with the technology itself, but we have spent far too much focus on the technological development without much spiritual and moral development in comparison. The issues of Racism, sexism and homophobia may be less severe than they were in the past, but we have still not really become experts at empathy, and since it is we, in our current collective state who are developing technology which could potentially outdo us in every single aspect of life.....I can’t help but feel we are not ready for this.

We want these machines to have an extremely high degree of empathy, so we need to develop our own levels of empathy first.... and fast.

I couldn't agree more about homophobia and empathy. You have some valid points and a very interesting point of view for that matter. I think we are not ready for this at this state of mind we are as it stands. But we will evolve fast I have no doubt about it.
